MPM4
4 Zone Music Paging Manager

The MPM4 zone mixer and paging manager represents a new way for installers to easily implement a multi-zone audio solution in a wide variety of applications.

NO COMPUTER REQUIRED!

Features:
  • 4 stereo inputs, 4 priority inputs and 4 mono zone outputs

  • Priority inputs can be assigned priority level and have ducking or muting capability. Use them for paging, announcements, jukebox override, etc.

  • 4 multi-function front panel knobs and LED arrays control and display zone volume, input trims, 4-band EQs, max volumes and priority assignments

  • 4-band EQ on all inputs AND outputs (12 total)

  • Individual trim control on all inputs

  • Max level settings for each zone output

  • Setup and Normal modes:
Setup Mode gives the installer access to all setup parameters.
Normal Mode only allows operators to assign music sources to zones and adjust zone volumes while all setup parameters are locked out and password protected to prevent unauthorized adjustments
Optional Decora style wallplate remote controls provide for selection of source and adjustment of volume.

One remote per zone connects to the master unit with ordinary CAT-5 cable and RJ-45 plugs.

MPM1V $537.49

Whether you're in a restaurant, nightclub, health club, church, sports bar or wherever you need to manage video, audio and provide paging in a single zone application, the MPM1V and MPM1 mixers do it all.

Switch between three sets of RCA phono type composite video and stereo audio inputs with push buttons located on the front of the unit (video and audio with the MPM1V, audio only with the MPM1). Each input has its own volume control and there's a master volume and four band tone control section.

In addition, there are Priority Line and Priority Mic inputs, each with their own volume controls. Connect the jukebox to the stereo Priority Line Input and it will automatically override and mute the selected audio input when the music kicks in and ramp that input back up when the jukebox is done.

Then, connect a mic to the Priority Mic Input for paging (microphone not included). Just speak into your mic and the MPM1 immediately lowers or "ducks" the volume on the other inputs, including the Priority Line Input, and then gently ramps it back up when you're finished. Ducking amount is adjustable to 0dB (none), - 20db (lowered into the background) or -70dB (off). Internal jumpers allow reversing of these priority assignments so that the Priority Line Input mutes the Mic input - useful for emergency announcement capability.

An internal jumper allows you to switch off the ducking feature to one output side only. This allows you to keep the background music constant in the dining room while still ducking and paging in the waiting area.

Need more inputs? Connect an external stereo mixer like the Whirlwind MIX-5s to the MPM1's stereo buss.

Need to feed more zones? Connect a Whirlwind DA2 to the output and feed 4 stereo zones or 8 mono zones, each with its own volume control.

The output section features stereo RCA phono connectors and balanced XLRs. The XLRs can be set to stereo or mono operation with a rear panel button. Use the XLRs when set to mono to drive 70V line amps for ceiling speakers while keeping the RCAs in stereo.

The MPM1 and MPM1V are housed in a 1U steel chassis with removable rack ears. The MPM1 is audio only and the MPM1V is video and audio.

MPM1RV REMOTE CONTROL (INCLUDED)

This control adjusts the main volume of all outputs except paging, from a remote location. Install it behind the bar or at the hostess station. In an office installation, place it at a reception area, security desk or other convenient location.

The control is mounted on a single-gang stainless steel wallplate and connects with ordinary three-conductor hookup wire via solderless screw terminals.

The maximum audio level is set at the front panel of the MPM-1, which can be kept in a secure location or an optional security cover accessory (MPM1SC) is available to help you keep it all under control.

MPM1SC SECURITY COVER (OPTIONAL ACCESSORY)

Item:                                                 Quantity:
MPM1SC SECURITY COVER $27.49
This optional accessory plate keeps the controls safe and secure from adjustment by unauthorized personnel.
